Sadimas' life has been a jumble of forgotten things. Sometimes, when she wakes up there is a tiny feeling, a stray sound, that evaporates before she can remember what she has lost. No. She has never told anyone about this. She is afraid to. The Eridians would still be kind to her, she was sure of that, but they would step back, hold their children closer......
I have written over 80 books for K-YA. Many are titles in my middle grade series: American Diaries, Survival, and Hoofbeats. The Unicorn's Secret and The Faeries' Promise series are for young readers. ((excerpts are up on http://www.kathleenduey.com)) Dark, atypical fantasy for teens and adults is my new love. My first YA novel,Skin Hunger, was a 2007 National Book Award finalist. Sacred Scars was released in 2009. The third book in the trilogy is finished and in the production process now.

Thank you for finishing this series. I've been a huge fan ever since I picked up Skin Hunger, and I was devastated back when it was thought that it would never be completed. I hope you continue to write more and more, Miss Duey. You are one of my favorite authors.
Jerrod....Thank you for getting in touch and for liking my work.!! I am sorry for the delays and am writing as fast as I can without messing it up...The time lines are starting to meet...at last.
All best wishes to you...
I am so unbelievably excited for this! I remember reading the first book in middle school and I'm pre-med in college now and still think about it so often...I thought I would never see hope for the trilogy to be finished.
